About the Artist:

Bella LaMontagne is an interdisciplinary collage artist. She practices the art of collage to produce surreal, poetic, and maximal works of visual art, short films, and works of writing. Bella's process can be defined by the idea of Naturphilosophie, which explores the relationship between nature and the mind. Through the medium of collage, Bella breaks down the binary between humans and the wider biotic community. She does this by combining fragments of folklore, mythology, and poetic reflections, guiding viewers through a thought provoking visual narrative that intends to remystify the world around us. Bella was a Finalist in the 9th edition of the Boynes Artist Award: Young Artist Category. Her work has been published in issues of the Red Ogre Review, the Indianapolis Review, Looky Here Magazine, and Photosynthesis Magazine. Bella is based in the hills of Western Massachusetts where she lives with her partner and beloved cat, Oscar.
